SEARCHING FOR THE BEST VEHICLES

Once you've contacted Specialist Vehicles NZ, we will discuss what you're after, what you might have seen already if any research in the UK market has been done and start to build a list of 'Must-Haves', and 'Wants' in your new vehicle.

We search over 50,000 vehicles at any given time using our established contacts in the UK. These include Auction Houses, Lease Companies, Vehicle Wholesalers and in some instances specific dealers that we've worked with in the past and have an established relationship with. 

We focus on finding VAT Qualifying vehicles, younger than 2012.

When we have found some suitable matches, we will present these to you for consideration.

Our UK based person is on hand to view the vehicle selected in person and perform a thorough check. 

WHEN WE HAVE FOUND THE IDEAL CAR FOR YOU, THEN WHAT?

We work as your agent to manage the process from the purchase, through delivery to the port in UK, and shipping, then once the vehicle arrives in New Zealand we handle the compliance process, registration, changing number plates, valet, and finally delivery of your new vehicle.

If outside of Auckland we will work with the local vehicle shipping companies for the final part of your new vehicles' journey to your door, or collect you from the airport if you are out of town and want to drive your new ride home!

We operate under a fixed fee structure, which is fully transparent. 

Often the unique access we have to vehicles within the wholesale distribution network in the UK - meaning we can buy at wholesale rates vs retail, will cover this fee, and still leave you much better off than buying an NZ based equivalent vehicle.

Add in the further savings you will realise through the reclamation of VAT, a strong exchange rate (converting NZD to GBP) and a market place in the UK that has an over-supply of vehicles - will lead to a purchase that is significantly less than buying the same vehicle in NZ, whilst often being of a higher spec level.

WHAT DOES 'VAT QUALIFYING' MEAN?

Typically cars that are VAT Qualifying are ex-lease, company cars or ex-demonstrators. If a car is VAT Qualifying the UK version of GST (VAT), can be claimed back when a car is exported outside the EU (European Union). 

VAT is currently 20%, so it makes sense to reclaim this if possible.

Using Specialist Vehicles NZ means you have access to our purchasing technique and UK-based VAT reclamation company that means you are invoiced less the UK VAT.. 

This in turn means a lower GST invoice when the car arrives in NZ due to the GST being calculated as 15% of the invoiced price of the car + Shipping (there is no GST to pay on shipping).
